Dear Belleview Community,

OH MY GOODNESS! What a Fallapalooza!

This year's Fallapalooza was our most successful yet, and we are still taking it all in. Thanks to the incredible work of our chairs, Derek Phelan and Chuck Talley, our generous sponsors, parent volunteers, student volunteers, school leadership, including our friends at Campus and Creek, vendors, and everyone in between...you all absolutely knocked it out of the park.

First of all, can we talk about the rain? It went right past us. Apparently, Mother Nature knew we were about to have OVER 800 people at Belleview and thought, let's give them one fun night.

Yes. 800.

We ran out of wristbands (we had 600 of them), and we exceeded the capacity of RabbitSign for waivers. It was unbelievable. But as amazing as those numbers are, they aren't what I will remember most about the evening. At one point, I was talking with Belleview parent and former PTCO Co-President Lisa Piantanida, and we both just stopped. For about five minutes, we stood there and took it all in. We saw happiness. We heard genuine laughter. We saw parents spread out blankets and have picnics with their families. Grandparents cheered on their grandkids at the 50-yard dash. Kids disconnected from their screens and ran, jumped, played, and laughed without inhibition. Everywhere we looked, people were simply together.

And I was proud. So incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful community. This is what Belleview is about. And all of you made it happen. We know your time is valuable. Between families, careers, activities, and everything else life asks of us, choosing to give even a small portion of your time to Belleview is meaningful. Whether you volunteered, donated, brought your family, cheered from the sidelines, helped clean up, or simply took a few hours away from your busy life to be present with our community—please know that it mattered.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for sharing your time and talents. Thank you for supporting our teachers and staff. And most importantly, thank you for helping us create an incredible experience for every Belleview student.

Every Dollar Counts

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our Every Dollar Counts Campaign as well as the incredible work that Dora Espita and Stephanie Stein have put into the campaign. With your generosity, we have raised $31,000. Our goal was $36,000. The donation link will remain open for the rest of the year, so if now wasn't the right time for your family, it will be there whenever you have the means and are able to contribute. This is a strong start to our school year and helps PTCO bridge the funding gap for so many of the people, programs, and resources our students rely on. Your contributions help support four teaching assistants at Belleview, field trips, classroom and school equipment, educational subscriptions, books, student resources, staff support, and so much more.

Next Up: Spirit Night!

Our next amazing community event is Spirit Night on October 8! A special thank-you to Meghan Babcock for putting this event together and to all of our sponsors for helping make it possible. And Belleview, now it's our turn: let's support Creek Football the way Creek students showed up and supported us at Fallapalooza! We'll kick things off at 5:00 p.m. with a pregame pizza party at Belleview and then head over to Stutler Bowl for the Cherry Creek High School football game.

There's a Place for You in PTCO

We are also looking for parents who would like to become more involved with Belleview PTCO. We currently have openings for Co-Presidents-Elect and a Belleview Bash Fundraiser Chair. If Fallapalooza showed us anything, it is just how amazing this PTCO community is—and we would love for you to be part of it. These roles are a wonderful opportunity to get involved, connect with other Belleview families, and help shape the events and programs that make our school community so special. You don't need to know everything about PTCO before raising your hand. Come join us, learn alongside us, and bring your own ideas and talents to the table.
